About Me

Since I was young, I've had an interest in all things audiovisual. What started as experiments in slideshow programs has since evolved into a passion for videography and photography.

One of my strongest skills is improvisation. Whether it's playing music in my free time or engaging in creative problem-solving, I have a knack for thinking outside the box. This, mixed with an enthusiasm for learning, has allowed me to become proficient in videography, post-production, and collaboration. I have also gained a wealth of experience as a leader, having taught and managed statewide youth teams that specialize in video production at large events.

Photography

I've had an eye for photography for as long as I can remember. I became involved in local competitions at a young age, which soon expanded to district and statewide levels. For a while, I dedicated myself to strictly shooting for competitions while improving my eye. Once I graduated, I noticed the repetitiveness I fell into, causing me to reevaluate my objective in photography.

As photography, at its most fundamental, is an extension of seeing, I’ve become obsessed with teaching myself techniques that push my expertise and sense of perception. I mainly shoot digital, although I have been dabbling in film when it’s adorable. My most recent project was converting a camera to full spectrum and leaning Infrared and ultraviolet photography, as well as photographing full spectrum trichromes.

Chostcards & More

One of my ongoing projects is writing postcards of my photography to people I met from a defunct social media site known as Cohost. You could say it’s the most traditional form of “posting”. After Cohost had passed, I wanted to keep in touch with people in a way that didn’t involve using the internet; hence, the Chostcard (a term coined by another user) was born.

My core philosophy is adding value to this world, even if my impact is invisible. Sending and receiving physical letters outweighs virtually anything via the social internet. In my other projects, building community is the goal.
